In this talk Farrah McNutt from Catch a Thief UK will be talking about the rise in abuse against security and retail staff, what can be improved for the safety of those in this sector, whilst looking at changes that need to be set what can we do in collaboration, we will be jumping into some real life stories from security staff and why it is so important to have the correct equipment whilst abuse is rising and more now then ever staff are accepting this level of abuse as part of the job description - making the correct changes and collaboration in the sector is important to maintain a structural balance to keep the offenders out in the first place.

Why employers should check the background of their new hires. I will discuss CV inaccuracies, give examples of how candidates make up stories, or have been dismissed. I will indicate how to validate that a candidate has the experience that they claim. I will discuss what background checks are readily available. I would cover data protection and a typical recruitment process that involves pre-employment back ground checks.
