She graduated from City University of London with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology before working in law enforcement for over fifteen years. During her career, she excelled as a top analyst in Covert Security, contributed to intelligence and investigations, and delivered strategic insights and recommendations to enhance service delivery and deter security threats. Amina's commitment to drive positive change also led her to provide leadership training and coaching to leaders and middle managers in law enforcement, particularly those from underrepresented groups, helping them recognize their potential and build confidence. In her role, she has managed several projects related to culture change, coaching and mentoring, established a support group for women in policing, and served as an executive board member for several organisations, including the Gender Equality Steering Group, the Race Action Plan, and the National Police Chief's Council Diversity Board Meeting.
