The Safety & Security Series: Empowering Women in the Industry and Cultivating a Supportive Community
The Safety & Security Event Series (comprising The Security Event, The Fire Safety Event, The Health & Safety Event, The Workplace Event and the National Cyber Security Show) is proud to announce its Women in Industry Campaign.
The Safety & Security Event Series is dedicated to increasing representation within the industry, particularly for women and underrepresented groups. As the industry evolves, diverse perspectives and expertise are essential for driving innovation and solving complex challenges.
Taking place 8-10 April at the NEC Birmingham, this year’s event has empowering initiatives aimed at enhancing diversity and celebrating women in the industry, from dedicated panel sessions, networking drinks and powerful partnerships.
Panel Discussions
The Security Event, The Fire Safety Event, The Health & Safety Event, The Workplace Event and the National Cyber Security Show will all host panel discussions, curated by industry leaders.
These panel discussions aim to spotlight the challenges and achievements of women across these sectors, fostering a more supportive and inclusive environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from influential female leaders who will share their experiences, insights, and strategies for success.
By addressing critical issues, these sessions aim to inspire the next generation of female professionals and promote equality in traditionally male-dominated fields. These panels not only provide valuable networking opportunities but also encourage open dialogue on how organisations can support women’s growth and leadership. The discussions underscore a commitment to empowering women and driving positive change in the industry.
The Health & Safety Event will host a dedicated panel discussion, led by Heather Beach (Women in Health and Safety), a recognised leader and advocate for inclusion in health and safety, whilst The Fire Safety Event partners with Women Talking Fire, hosting a panel session led by the dynamic Andrea White (AW Fire Ltd) for a dynamic and thought-provoking panel discussion.
Attend these sessions to be part of a larger conversation about diversity, inclusion, and the evolving landscape of fire safety management. We encourage attendees to ask any questions you may have in the Q&A at the end of the session.
Networking Opportunities
After a day filled with enriching discussions and valuable insights, dedicated Women in Industry Networking Drinks will take place at the end of Day One in each Networking Café (8th April, from 4:30pm).
Attendees will have the chance to engage with like-minded individuals and share thoughts on the day's discussions, exchange ideas, experiences, and perspectives over complimentary drinks and live music.
Be part of a supportive network that celebrates diversity and success in the field. Raise a glass to your achievements - everyone's invited!

Hear from our Group Managing Director
“At Nineteen Group, we are delighted to support initiatives to attract and retain female talent in the Safety and Security industries. This is a diverse and fast-paced market dedicated to keeping people and assets safe and women play a key role across these sectors, which in the past may have seemed more focussed towards male leadership. There are an increasing amount of female role models, and these markets can provide excellent career opportunities and are open to encouraging more female leaders to work alongside the very many existing talented leaders.” said Alison Jackson, Group Managing Director
