Saarbrücken. The highest quality standards meet the finest technology – that is how you could describe LiftMaster’s mission statement in a nutshell. And the new developments they have now presented also fully implement this principle behind the heritage company founded in 1967. The manufacturer of intelligent door automation has sustainably updated its product range with the introduction of six new external gate operators: Two of the models are linear operators, plus an articulated arm operator, all of which are for swing gates. Three models of sliding gate operators will also be presented. Despite this diverse selection, what all products have in common is that they contain a wealth of benefits that offer real added value for both users and installers. For example, numerous components are already pre-installed in the new drives – such as the control unit with integrated wireless radio module and transformer. The hand-held transmitters, two supplied as standard, are already programmed. This makes installer’s daily work much easier and reduces the chance of errors. Other innovative features also help to make installation faster and more convenient: A newly developed control system is installed in the six products. The resulting uniform programming for swing and sliding gate openers brings with it a clearly measurable time savings. “By shortening the installation, more orders can be processed in the same amount of time, and standardisation also means that fewer different spare parts are needed,” says Grigory Trusov, LiftMaster’s product manager.
Easier installation through innovative technology
The new LED display, which is also easy to read in daylight, is a practical and appreciated further development. Gone are the days when you had to make the settings for the gate without viewing the inputs. Now there are only four buttons for navigation and installation, with which the gate can be programmed in an easy and visible way. Everything is much easier in general. This is also reflected in another positive point: The six models are compatible with the innovative myQ technology and they are based on the same wireless technology as the LiftMaster garage door openers. “So, we’ve now combined both worlds. Now it’s driveway gate with a hand transmitter or the free myQ app. The LED light, for example, can also be switched on by the same device. So, our innovations ideally complement the existing garage door opener segment,” explains the product manager. But the features listed are only a sample. The new products are also equipped, for example, with three separately programmable inputs to which individual photobeam sets can be connected – which are also automatically recognised and, depending on the setting, ensure the detection of obstacles in different directions.
Optimal functionality meets highest quality
By meeting strict standards throughout the manufacturing process, LiftMaster can make a clear promise to its customers about the quality of its products. The new drives perform safely, quietly and, above all, extremely reliably. Powerful 24V DC motors are built in, where speed and force can be adjusted separately – and even password-protected, so for safety reasons only experts can change the adjustments made. The developers have also optimised the design. “Our product claim is a clear commitment to quality. But it also promises we will never stand still. We will always listen to the market and adapt to the changing needs there. We vouch for this with our good name ... and have been doing so for over 50 years,” concludes Grigory Trusov.
