CASE STUDY: MV Alfred Passenger Ferry (ATRIUM Access Control)
The MV Alfred is a new high-tech ferry for vehicles and foot passengers which travels between the north coast of mainland Scotland and the Orkney Islands on a daily basis.
The ferry needed to comply with maritime safety regulations and rigorously manage access to different parts of the ship.
The solution was CDVI's ATRIUM access control.
A 14-door installation, complete with magnetic locks and a card-controlled access system, was designed by Clyde Technologies of Edinburgh.
