Key safe break-in experiment: Comparing two products used in commercial applications

Storing keys at the point of entry has many advantages in commercial settings, including faster alarm response times and operational efficiencies when quick access can be granted to staff and contractors while reducing key loss and lock replacement costs.

However, before deploying any security system, it is critical to check that its security levels are adequate. While SentriGuard is LPCB accredited and audited on every level (initial product design, manufacturing process, physical security tests), there are other products on the market that have not gone through the same process but are used by businesses around the country.

We performed an attack test experiment and compared the SentriGuard key safe to an alternative product to highlight the importance of security accreditations and due diligence when choosing any security product and, particularly, key safes.
