Alkaline Batteries

Jauch Quartz Stand: 5/N69

Many mobile applications such as MP3 / CD players, digital cameras, GPS, pager, remote controls, watches, measuring systems, toys, flashlights, and many other devices are powered by primary alkaline manganese batteries. Each of these devices requires a powerful energy source initially and as replacements later, whereby the discharge profiles can be very different. Alkaline batteries of the types LR03 / AAA, LR 6 / AA, LR14 / C, LR20 / D and 9V block provide a good solution for all these requirements. These are available from well-known manufacturers and in various packaging versions. Excellent performance characteristics, long service life, safety, reliability, and rapid availability are the main criteria for their application.

Alkaline manganese batteries need to be disposed of properly in Germany according to the Battery Act (BattG) (and likewise in many other countries, since the BattG is based on a European directive). Batteries are collected at retail locations in containers provided for that purpose. Batteries should not be disposed of in any other waste collection containers or in the environment because they contain contaminants and recoverable materials.
