The overall concept is designed to allow retrofitting non-mobile capable readers in the Access control System by adding TagPoint with an RFID card/tag, which has the door credential data in it. When a user interacts with a TagPoint by reading its data via NFC and the app, this data together with the user’s data is transferred through the TagKey cloud to the access control system which, in turn, checks the validity of the credential and sends a corresponding access signal to the controller.
